Centerville is a historic community, featuring the largest collection of early stone buildings in the state of Ohio. Our dental practice is located in one of these historic buildings; a house originally owned by Robert McEwen and dates back to 1834.
Having originally come to Centerville in 1817, where he opened a harness and saddle shop, McEwen would serve as the first clerk of Centerville when it became incorporated in 1830. He was considered one of the most educated men in Centerville, having gotten his education at Oxford College, which is now Miami University. He was elected a representative in the Ohio Legislature in 1859.
The house itself is a white-painted limestone building with a slate roof. It originally had two front doors, but one was later converted into a window. It has served the community as a dental office since 1966.

Our practice was the 2021 Patriot Decorating Contest Winner of the Centerville-Washington Township Americana Festival.
This festival originally began as a sidewalk sale in 1972 but was expanded in 1979 by the chamber of commerce into a festival to help foster community spirit and encourage residents to participate in community activities. The expanded festival included a parade, street fair, auto show, hot air balloon, rides, fireworks, and more. The current version of the Centerville-Washington Township Americana Festival has more than 300 arts and crafts booths, a classic car show, a 5K family run, special children’s area at the Park District’s Activities Center, and a scholarship program. Over 90,000 people attend the festival each year.
